困った作品、変な作品、でも見ないですませるには惜しすぎる
すごく風変わりなテイストの、壮大な失敗作です。おもしろくてチャーミングな作品でありえたのに、展開のリズムが散漫で、要所要所のしまったところがない。すぐに思うのは、「原作」の影が大きすぎるという点です。トム・ロビンスの原作小説は読んでいませんが、言葉の新鮮さのレベルでたぶんかなり楽しめるものであることはまちがいありません。映画のほうもずっとナレーションつきで物語が進行するのですが、このナレーションをひきうけているのが原作者。でも、まさにこのナレーションや、登場人物のせりふの饒舌さが、あまりに映画を重くし、離陸させずじまいに終わったことも否定できない。素材の奇抜なおもしろさはすぐにわかるだけに、かなりもったいない気がしました。ウマ・サーマンは（美人ではないけど）見るだけで人に強烈な印象を与えます。その彼女が特大の親指をつけて、史上最高のヒッチハイカーを演じるのですから、こんなハイカーなら乗せたいなと思う人はひとりやふたりではないでしょう。アウトドアの風景のみずみずしい美しさにかけて、ガス・ヴァン・サントの感覚は誰にもひけをとらないでしょう。「西部」だなあと思います。ヒッチハイキング論、という問題の立て方も可能かもしれませんが、ともあれいくつかの屋外シーンの印象によってこの映画を覚えておくことにします。

エクセレント　パート２！！
単品でも十分楽しめるけど、やっぱし「大冒険」とセットで見て欲しいな～。ただし「マトリックス」のクールなキアヌ様を求めてはいけません。ヘヴィでメタルなアホアホキアヌ様もオツなもんです。

ドラキュラ映画の歴史に．
　ブラム･ストーカーによる原作『ドラキュラ』を忠実に再現し､なおかつラブ･ストーリーの要素も多く取り入れた､とても興味深い作品です．この“ドラキュラ”はこれまで､の血を糧に生きる悪魔のような存在でもなく､これ以後の､女が自ら血を差し出すようなセクシーな吸血鬼でもない．それがいっそうドラキュラの生き方を､その存在の哀しさを前面に出していると思う．

　衣装やセットもそうだが､キャストの豪華さがまたオイシイ．ドラキュラを演じるのは『レオン』の悪役で日本で一躍人気になったゲイリー･オールドマン．ドラキュラに魅入られる女には『エイリアン４』のウィノナ･ライダー．その婚約者役は『スピード』のキアヌ･リーヴス．彼を助け､ドラキュラ退治に全てをかけるヘルシング教は『羊たちの沈黙』のレクター博士としても有名なアンソニー･ホプキンス．
　彼らの作り出す､闇と恐怖の中の最高のラブ･ストーリーを楽しんでほしい．

This movie works on many levels
This is a Bertolucci movie so it will naturally have his style. This is a different story so it should be told differently from his other films. In my opinion this is his best. It is based on a true story; this means he did not wake up in the middle of the night with a radical idea. The story is used not only for the individual incident but as an allegory for today’s Tibetan (there are many other types) Buddhist way of thought.

These are not two parallel stories in contrast. With out one the other makes no sense. The section in Seattle is filtered in blue; I may have some deeper meaning; I see the blue filtered scenes as the superficial environment. These differences help with the description of impermanence.

The Selection of actors is excellent.. You do not want the actor personalities to overshadow the character. It is too late for me. I will always think of Siddhartha as looking like Keanu Reeves.

Just as with Cecil B. DeMille’s “The Ten Commandments “, the film story does not actually follow the written story of Siddhartha. However, as this is the one that I watch, therefore I will always think of this when some one mentions Buddha.

At first it looks like a western hidden tiger
To Neo (Keanu Reeves) it seemed as if his entire life was a dream. As with most of us he was searching for something. He was also looking for a person named Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) who would be able to answer the burning question “What is the Matrix?” It just may be possible that for other reasons Morpheus may be looking for Neo.

They get points for it the first people to do the particular FX.

Keanu Reeves plays his part well; however, he is better as Siddhartha in "Little Buddha" (1994). Their little trick with pills reflecting off the classes was good. Speaking of Buddha one does not realize until going through the rest of the films in this series that there is a subtle Buddhist philosophical thread running through them.
