You may recognize George Wendt as Norm Peterson from the TV series "Cheers"

A family is vacationing on a strange planet Earth. It is lovely with the exception that some of the native have a negative attitude. So if a few of the natives get dismantled it is no big deal. The daughter Daphne is going native herself. This is a true love story.

This movie is a work of art. It has a shred of redeeming social value. So move over Charles Bronson "Death Wish" (1974) ASIN: B0000541AN and see how vacationers George Wendt, Shanna Reed, and Anastasia Sakelaris correct the anti social situation in a run down area. I really like their sweetness and light attitude, which mixes with their vast knowledge of the English language, reminds me of "The Stupids" (1996).
