In the realm of Jim Carrey comedies, this one ranks right up there with Ace Venture, Pet Detective and The Mask. Jim Carrey plays a lawyer who spends the majority of his waking life telling lies. After not coming to his son's birthday party, his son makes a wish that his father cannot tell a lie for one whole day. What ensues is pure comic genius. Sure it's not a terribly complicated plotline, but Jim Carrey makes the movie what it is. Completely hilarious.

いつもながらのJ.Nの怪演が気楽に楽しめるコメディ
映画の評価は別にして、こういう役をやらせるとジャック･ニコルソンは本当に上手い。ほんの些細な事で飛行機の中で主人公の青年が暴行の容疑で拘束され裁判にかけられ、お仕置きにジャック･ニコルソン演じるANGER・MANAGEMENT専門のドクター指導を受けるよう判決が下される。ありえないような話で、以降もどんどんエスカレート。この間の二人のヤリトリを中心に爆笑もののドラマが展開される。セラピー仲間も個性的な俳優をそろえている。そして、最後にはなるほどというハッピーなオチがちゃんとついていた。コメディとしては結構楽しめる。ただし、ジャック･ニコルソンのフアンでないともう一つ楽しめないかもしれません。しかし、アメリカにはこんなセラピーもあるんでしょうか。
