Part 1 of an Excellent Trilogy
"Out of the Silent Planet" is the first in Lewis's space trilogy. The trilogy is excellent, but each book is different in style. This one being the first, it is lighter in style. It introduces his main character, Dr. Ransom, who is the hero throughout the series. It tells of his adventures in leaving the "silent planet" and in going to Mars. This book and trilogy is recommended especially to those who enjoyed The Chronicles of Narnia. I also recommend the sequels, "Perelandra", and "That Hideous Strength".
