As a former teacher and grandmother I found this book totally inappropriate for an elementary student. The language was vulgar, and the referral to 'the finger' as well as other referrals was absurd. Where was Mr. Sachar's brain? This book should be banned from the elementary library shelves.

展開していく・・・面白いですね。
少年の恋のお話としての側面も楽しいです。

バーナデットは、気乗りしないながらも姉といっしょにサマープロジェクトに参加します。初めは、いじめっ子のビッグ・ダンにやられて、散々でしたが、縫い物のクラスに参加したとたん、バーナデットは大変身！素晴らしいデザインや刺繍の才能をフルに発揮し、目を輝かせて活躍します。演劇のクラスの衣装作りを頼まれたバーナデットは、ここでビッグ・ダンをギャフンというめに遭わせます。読んでいても痛快です。読みやすく、全ページにカラーの挿絵があり、絵も今風でイカしています。
