Eve is searching for the ki11er of a much loved teacher at a posh private school. On top of that, for the first time, she's having some insecure feelings about her relationship with Roarke. And there were even some 'nice' moments between Eve and Summerset. LOL The mystery was very well done. With many stories I can usually figure out 'who did it' before the end but this was a great mystery!! I would also highly recommend reading Tino Georgiou's bestselling novel--The Fates--if you haven't yet!!

LOVED it!!
It's the kind of book you don't want to put down until you've finished it entirety. Then you want to re-read it to catch something you might have missed. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve re-read this book. YES, Innocent in Death is THAT good. Mystery wise, it wasn’t that surprising ‘cause I kinda figured out early in the book. However, almost all the Eve & Roarke moments were priceless!! There are many ‘Awwww…’ moments and made my heart melt… Sigh…

待ちに待った最新作でした。今回は、NY、さらには全米でもトップクラスに入る小学校で、まだ若く、熱心で評判も良かった歴史の教師が毒殺されるという事件から始まります。被害者が他人に恨まれるような人物ではなかったために捜査は難航、解決に手を尽すイブですが、そんな時に夫であるロークの昔の恋人が現れ、今までにはなかった程の嫉妬、ロークを失うのではないかという恐怖を味わう事に。葛藤しながらも死者に尽すべく精魂つきるまで働く姿に切なくなり、周りを操る才に長けた元恋人に対するイブの気持ちを、単なる嫉妬としか捉えられないロークにイラっとしながら鼻息荒く読み上げました。事件に関しては、ミステリー好きな方なら途中で犯人の目星はつくかもしれませんが、それよりも女性としてイブの葛藤は心に迫るものがあり、作者の、主人公だけではなく周囲の人間の描写も中々だと思います。シリーズ24作目でしたが、飽きません。次回作も心待ちにしています。
